Job title: NQ Solicitor - Comm. Litigation/FSDR

Main purpose of the role: My client is looking for a Solicitor to join its Commercial Litigation team in Cardiff, where its client base includes the likes of Tarmac, The Welsh Rugby Union, Sony and the DVLA.
Disputes are an inevitable consequence of business activity in an increasingly regulated, high-speed environment. Badly managed disputes can destroy valuable commercial and business relationships, occupy busy management resource and cost a great deal to resolve. With this in mind, my client is skilled in all forms of dispute management including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, expert determination and adjudication.
Key responsibilities: This varied role offers a wide range of high quality Commercial Litigation work including IT, general contract disputes and judicial reviews. There will also be an opportunity to get involved in marketing and business development.
Skills and experience: You will be NQ - 3 years PQE, and have gained excellent general commercial litigation. You should also have an interest in marketing and business development, ideally with some experience in this area. Previous experience of this work type is not essential but you will have sat at least one litigation seat as a trainee. You will have a basic grounding in litigation practice and procedures
Key competencies: You will have a positive outlook, be confident and adaptable and used to working as part of a team, able to demonstrate a real passion and enjoyment about what they do. You will have excellent IT, communication (verbal and written), administration and organisational skills.
In addition, you will need to have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, decision making and problem solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure.
