Personal Injury Solicitor /FILEX / Senior Paralegal
Salary £30,000-£35,000
Whitstable, Kent
Purpose
To act as the 'Second-in-Command' to the team manager and to offer technical support to the more junior members of the team. You will also have a mixed caseload of fast-track and multi-track defendant personal injury claims, which you will need to be able to run with a minimal need for supervision.
Duties
Your main duties will be to:
• Offer supervisory and technical support to members of the team; and
• Run your own caseload of personal injury cases.
Competencies
Essential Competencies Required Are:
• Strong technical knowledge of running a personal injury claim;
• Ability to prioritise work;
• Organisational skills;
• Computer skills;
• Excellent verbal communication skills;
• Can work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Preferred Competencies Required Are:
• Ability to use a case management system; and
• Management / supervisory skills.
Experience
Essential Experienced Required:
• Defendant PI experience: handling your own caseload with minimal supervision;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Experience of handling difficult clients on the telephone;
• Experience of having worked under pressure; and
• Experience of meeting regular targets.
Preferred Experience Required:
• Managerial / Supervisory experience.
Education
No minimum level required as long as has the experience and skills to carry out the role
