My client is a leading law firm, independently recommended by Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 across 18 specialist practice areas. The firm is one of the country’s most progressive regional law firms and boasts a client list of mid tier businesses, household name PLCs and other major international groups, as well as high net worth private clients.
The Dispute Resolution Group currently consists of 5 partners and 15 other lawyers and is regarded as one of the leading dispute resolution practices in the South East outside London, with many of the partners rated as leading individuals by the two principal legal directories.
In addition to handling complex litigation, they provide strategic advice in the areas of claims avoidance and risk management. The team also represents clients in arbitrations (both UK and international), mediations and expert determinations. Their lawyers include qualified solicitor advocates and mediators. There is PSL and paralegal support within the Group.
An associate solicitor is sought to join an existing team, many of whom have experience with leading City firms. Candidates should have good inter-personal skills, strong academics and high quality experience – typically with a major City or leading national/regional practice. Team playing skills are important – the successful candidate can expect to work with a number of partners within the Group, in small and occasionally larger teams, as well as running cases with minimal supervision. The position arises due to continuing growth within the Group.
