CIVIL LITIGATION & PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY SOLICITOR / FILEX
BRISTOL
SALARY ACCORDING TO EXPERIENCE
My client, a Legal 500-rated firm with offices nationwide, is looking for a proactive and commercially aware professional indemnity solicitor/ FILEX or equivalent to join their growing team which forms part of their expanding civil litigation department in Bristol.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The department is divided into several specialised teams. Reporting to the Partner in charge of the professional indemnity team, you will be running a caseload involving a variety of claims. A desire to help expand the team is vital.
1. Complying with insurer client's agreed service standards
2. Fully utilising the firm's case management system
3. Managing your own case load of roughly 50 files
4. Billing
Skills Required/Key competencies:
Essential:
1. Strong organisational skills;
2. Pragmatic approach to solving problems;
3. Client focused approach;
4. Excellent communication skills;
5. Ability and knowledge of working with a case management system;
6. Excellent forensic skills, and attention to detail
Experience Required:
Essential:
1. Candidates with excellent all round commercial litigation experience will be considered.
2. It is essential the successful candidate will have experience of handling their own caseload.
Desirable:
1. Ideally candidates will have relevant/ previous professional indemnity/ negligence experience and be familiar with the Pre Action protocol.
2. Experience of dealing with insurance funded clients is desirable.
Education Required:
1. Qualified Solicitor (LLB/ ILEX Route)
2. ILEX (Qualified to FILEX level); OR
3. Equivalent experience
