PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS NEGOTIATOR
SOUTH WEST
£18,000 - £25,000 (DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE)
My client is a well-known insurance provider, supplying both personal lines and small commercial insurance packages through brokers across the UK. Due to continued expansion and the acquisition of significant new business, they are now searching for a personal injury claims negotiator to manage a portfolio of personal injury claims from notification through to settlement.
It is essential that you have experience working within motor claims (preferably motor personal injury claims). The majority of work within your remit will be small claims work, so previous experience of dealing with these will also be a distinct advantage.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will have to deal effectively and be able to persuade and influence many classes of people from policy holders who have limited knowledge of insurance through to professionals.
- A good understanding a PI claims environment including relevant "protocols" and legislation.
- Good investigative mind/ decision maker.
- Good organisational skills/ability to prioritise.
- Fraud Awareness.
- Ability to resolve conflict in an effective manner.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Ability to handle "Small", "Fast" and "Multi" track cases with minimal supervision.
