CLINICAL NEGLIGENCE LAWYER 2 PQE +
BRISTOL
£DEPENDANT OF EXPERIENCE
A position has become available within the clinical negligence team at the Bristol office of a national firm. The successful applicant will be an experienced solicitor who will deal solely with clinical negligence cases and you will be responsible for a caseload of files on claims, which are predominantly ready to be issued.
Duties:
- Manage your own caseload of files involving a wide range of clinical negligence cases.
- To supervise paralegals within the group under the direction of it's partner.
- To participate in team training and marketing activities.
- To participate in the auditing of cases as and when required and to maintain the groups case management procedures.
- It would be an advantage to have experience in dealing with Legal Expense Insurance work, as the majority of the caseload will involve LEI claims. (Although the firm does have a legal services commission franchise to carry out publicly funded work).
Key Competencies:
- As a team player you will be sufficiently confident with Clinical negligence procedures to be able to use your own initiative.
- The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and motivated for work within Clinical Negligence.
- Good organisational skills and a pragmatic approach to solving claims are essential to the role.
- Proficient IT skills and excellent communication skills are also essential.
Experience:
- The successful candidate will have at least 2 years PQE, preferably with a background in Personal Injury cases.
- Previous clinical negligence experience is ESSENTIAL
- Good working knowledge of CPR.
Education:
- You will be a fully qualified Solicitor/ FILEX or equivalent.
